FAQ

Answers to the questions players most often ask about CraftCorps, our launcher, and our servers.

About CraftCorps

Is CraftCorps safe?
Yes. CraftCorps is operated by a registered Polish company (CraftCorps Nicolas Palomino, NIP: 8952259152, Wrocław). Microsoft authentication is handled through Microsoft's official OAuth device-code flow — we never see or store your Microsoft password. Once you sign in, only your Minecraft access token is kept, encrypted inside your operating system's secure keychain (macOS Keychain, Windows Credential Manager, or libsecret on Linux). All payments are processed through Stripe, and our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy are publicly available in the Legal section of this site.
Is CraftCorps legit?
Yes. CraftCorps is a registered business in Wrocław, Poland (NIP: 8952259152, REGON: 525782789). The company has a public legal address, public legal documents, and a verifiable Polish tax identification number. Minecraft Redeem Codes (MCRC) we distribute as event rewards are sourced legitimately and redeemed through Microsoft's official redemption page.
What makes CraftCorps different from other Minecraft networks?
CraftCorps is a complete platform rather than a single server. It includes a custom launcher (Craft Client), a competitive Battle Royale, a roleplay-driven BR SMP, and an upcoming Duels mode — all connected by a shared economy, ranking, and cosmetics system. Daily MCRC events reward active players with real Minecraft Redeem Codes, and CraftCorps is one of the few Minecraft networks with first-class native mobile support through our dedicated Android client.

Craft Client

Why should I choose CraftCorps over other launchers?
Craft Client is the only launcher built specifically for the CraftCorps ecosystem. It is integrated directly with our server network, our economy, and our cosmetics system, so progress carries across game modes without manual configuration. The launcher is free, ships with a curated and performance-focused modpack, and supports Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android. Microsoft sign-in is handled through Microsoft's official OAuth flow, and your credentials are stored in your operating system's native secure keychain rather than on our servers.
What is Craft Client and what does it do?
Craft Client is CraftCorps' official Minecraft launcher. It handles authentication with your Microsoft account, downloads and updates Minecraft, automatically applies the curated CraftCorps modpack, and connects you to our servers without manual setup. It is built on Tauri (Rust) for the desktop versions and is intentionally lightweight. Craft Client is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android (currently in early beta).
Is my Microsoft account safe when I sign in?
Yes. Craft Client uses Microsoft's official Device Code OAuth flow. You enter your password directly on Microsoft's own login page in your browser — Craft Client and CraftCorps' servers never receive it. Once authenticated, Microsoft issues an access token to Craft Client, which is stored in your operating system's secure keychain. You can revoke Craft Client's access at any time from your Microsoft account dashboard at account.microsoft.com.

Servers & Game Modes

What makes BR SMP different from other SMPs?
BR SMP is built around four player-run districts — Ashwood, Deepvein, Harvest, and Ironwatch — each with its own identity, economy, and roleplay direction. Unlike a typical free-form SMP, players choose a district to join, contribute to its development, and compete against the others. The map is a true Minecraft world with the oceans removed, which keeps the world dense and reduces unproductive travel. Progress on BR SMP also feeds into the broader CraftCorps ranking system that spans Battle Royale and the rest of the network.
How do I join the server?
Download Craft Client from craftcorps.net/download, sign in with your Microsoft account, and launch the game. Craft Client connects you to play.battleroyales.net automatically. If you prefer a different launcher, you can also connect manually using the same server address from any Minecraft: Java Edition client on a supported version.
What is MCRC?
MCRC stands for Minecraft Redeem Code — an official prepaid voucher from Microsoft that grants a Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition license. CraftCorps distributes MCRCs as event rewards, most notably through our daily MCRC event on the Battle Royale server. Codes are redeemed directly on Microsoft's official redemption page; CraftCorps is the source of the prize, not the redemption platform.
